Matilda d'Aubigny

Matilda was born in 1153 in Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, England.¹ Matilda's father was Earl William d'Aubigny III and her mother was Adeliza de Louvain. Her maternal grandparents were Duc Godefroi de Louvain I and Comtesse Ida de Namur. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Simon, Alice, Cecily and Matilda. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 57 in 1210 in Strathearn, Perthshire, England.¹
