Parthenia Tilley 
Parthenia was born on April 21st, 1852 in Orange Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1900.1 Parthenia's father was James Tilley and her mother was Temperance Roberts. Her maternal grandparents were George Roberts and Nancy Mize. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named George William, Joel, Hinton Vance, James Sidney, Atlas, Emmett Harrison, Dock, Henry Adolphus, Minerva, Adeline, Nancy Caroline, Julia Ann and Edna A.. She was the third youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 57 on May 25th, 1909 in Chapel Hill, Orange Co, NC.1 General Notes
