Emmett Harrison Tilley 
Emmett Harrison was born on March 1st, 1848 in Chapel Hill, Orange Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1910.1 Emmett Harrison's father was James Tilley and his mother was Temperance Roberts. His maternal grandparents were George Roberts and Nancy Mize. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named George William, Joel, Hinton Vance, James Sidney, Atlas, Dock, Henry Adolphus, Minerva, Adeline, Nancy Caroline, Julia Ann, Edna A. and Parthenia. He was the fifth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 71 on May 21st, 1919 in Smoky Creek Twp, Burke Co, NC. He was buried on May 22nd, 1919 in Burke Co, NC.1 General Notes
