George William Tilley 
George William was born in 1830 in Chapel Hill, Orange Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1870. George William's father was James Tilley and his mother was Temperance Roberts. His maternal grandparents were George Roberts and Nancy Mize. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Joel, Hinton Vance, James Sidney, Atlas, Emmett Harrison, Dock, Henry Adolphus, Minerva, Adeline, Nancy Caroline, Julia Ann, Edna A. and Parthenia. He was the oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 42 in April 1872 in Steprock, White Co, AR.General Notes
