James Sidney Tilley 
James Sidney was born on May 2nd, 1835 in Orange Co, NC and his baptism took place in Death Fact. James Sidney's father was James Tilley and his mother was Temperance Roberts. His maternal grandparents were George Roberts and Nancy Mize. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named George William, Joel, Hinton Vance, Atlas, Emmett Harrison, Dock, Henry Adolphus, Minerva, Adeline, Nancy Caroline, Julia Ann, Edna A. and Parthenia. He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 91 on October 18th, 1926 in Granite Falls, Caldwell Co, NC. He was buried on October 19th, 1926 in North Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery, Caldwell Co, NC.General Notes
