Margaret Savage 
Margaret was born in 1450 in Clifton, Cheshire, England.1 Margaret's father was John Savage and her mother was Catherine Stanley. Her paternal grandparents were John Savage and Elizabeth Brereton; her maternal grandparents were Sir Thomas Stanley and Joan Goushill. She had eleven brothers and five sisters, named Lawrence, John, Robert, James, Thomas, Humphrey, Richard, William, George, Christopher, Edward, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Savage, Alice and Katherine. She was the fifth oldest of the seventeen children.-
