Lawrence Savage 
Lawrence was born in 1449 in Clifton, Cheshire, England.1 Lawrence's father was John Savage and his mother was Catherine Stanley. His paternal grandparents were John Savage and Elizabeth Brereton; his maternal grandparents were Sir Thomas Stanley and Joan Goushill. He had ten brothers and six sisters, named John, Robert, James, Thomas, Humphrey, Richard, William, George, Christopher, Edward, Eleanor, Margaret, Elizabeth, Savage, Alice and Katherine. He was the second oldest of the seventeen children.-
