Wiley S was born on February 12th, 1832 in Mocksville, Davie Co., NC, US. Wiley S' father was Isaac Hillery Foster and his mother was Harriet Bevill. His paternal grandparents were Zenas G. Foster and Dinah Taylor. He had two brothers named James M and Thomas Martin. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Isaac B, Shadrach Shadric M., Calvin, Samuel T, Louisa, Mary A, Nancy Jane, Lydia D and Camilla. He died at the age of 47 on November 10th, 1879 in New Richmond, Montgomery Co., IN, US. He was buried in 1879 in New Richmond Cemetery.-
