Joseph Despain 
Joseph was born on September 11th, 1829 in Green County, Kentucky.1 Joseph's father was John B. Despain and his mother was Malinda A. Bazor. His paternal grandparents were James Scott DeSpain and Susan (Sally) Peterson; his maternal grandparents were John Bazor and Mary. He had seven brothers and eight sisters, named James, John, Henry, Hutty, Fielding, Lewis, Edward, Sary, Mary, Nancy, Polly, Sally, Rebecca, Araminta and Patsy. He was the fourth oldest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 78 on March 19th, 1908 in Green County, Kentucky. He was buried in 1908 in Despain Cemetery, Green Co., KY.2 2 -
