Thomas De Clare 
Thomas was born in 1245 in Tunbridge, Kent, England.1 Thomas' father was Earl of Gloucester Richard De Clare and his mother was Maud De Lacie. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert (The Surety) De Clare and Isobel Marshall; his maternal grandparents were Earl of Lincoln John (The Surety) De Lacy and Margaret De Quincy. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Red Earl, Bogo, Isabel, Margaret and Eglentine. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Piers, John, Roese and Eleanor. He died at the age of 42 on August 29th, 1287 in Thomond, Connaught, County Clare, Ireland.1 -
