Eleanor was born about 1325 in Douglas, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  Eleanor's father was Archibald Douglas and her mother was Beatrice Lindsay.  Her paternal grandfather was William Douglas and her paternal grandmother is Dornagilla Comyn; her maternal grandparents were Alexander Lindsay and Alice Stewart. She had two brothers named William and John.  She was the youngest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Nicholas, Mary and Jean.  She died about 1380 in Scotland.

‌Eleanor and James were married in a religious ceremony about 1349 in Scotland.  They had two sons and a daughter, named James, Patrick and Marion.


Eleanor's second family with William Towers

‌Eleanor and William were married in a religious ceremony before 1364.


Eleanor's third family with Duncan Wallace

‌Eleanor and Duncan were married in a religious ceremony before 1368.  They had a son named Duncan.


Eleanor's fourth family with Alexander Bruce

They had a daughter named Eleanor.
