Archibald Douglas 
Archibald was born about 1179 in Morayshire, Scotland. Archibald's father was William Douglas and his mother was ? De Kersdale. His paternal grandfather was Theobald le Flemming. He had six brothers and a sister, named Henry, William, Brice, Alexander, Hugh, Freskin and Margaret. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died in 1240 in Scotland.General Notes

Son of William De Douglas, Sir Archibald was born before 1198 and died in
1240. He married Margaret, daughter of Sir John Crawford and they had two
sons. Their first son, William "Longlegs", would sire the Black Douglas
line, while the second son Andrew De Douglas would be the progenitor of
the Douglases of Morton.
