Marie De Avesnes

Marie was born about 1280 in Valenciennes, Nord, France. Marie's father was Jean II De Avesnes and her mother was Philippine De Luxembourg. Her paternal grandparents were Jean I De Avesnes and Aleida of Holland. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Henri, Jean, Valeran, Willem III, Alix, Marguerite, Isabelle, Jeanne and Ida. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died on August 28th, 1354 in Chateau De Murat, Bourbonnois, France.
