Alix De Avesnes

Alix was born about 1273 in Valenciennes, Nord, France. Alix's father was Jean II De Avesnes and her mother was Philippine De Luxembourg. Her paternal grandparents were Jean I De Avesnes and Aleida of Holland. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Henri, Jean, Valeran, Willem III, Marguerite, Isabelle, Jeanne, Marie and Ida. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died on October 26th, 1317.
