Nancy was born on January 7th, 1785 in Culpepper, Ishaw, Virginia, USA.1 Nancy's father was Benjamin McCarty and her mother was Sarah Conner. Her paternal grandparents were Darby McCarty and Hannah Richardson; her maternal grandfather was James Conner and her maternal grandmother is Mary Welch. She had nine brothers and two sisters, named Morgan Green, William Pleasant, Enoch, James Monroe, F. Ashbury, (Judge) Benjamin, Jonathan, Abner, Isaac W, Lydia and Elizabeth Sarah. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 37 in 1822 in Grainger, Tennessee, USA.1 -
