William Pleasant Mc Carthy 
William Pleasant was born in 1780 in VA. William Pleasant's father was Benjamin McCarty and his mother was Sarah Conner. His paternal grandparents were Darby McCarty and Hannah Richardson; his maternal grandfather was James Conner and his maternal grandmother is Mary Welch. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Morgan Green, Enoch, James Monroe, F. Ashbury, (Judge) Benjamin, Jonathan, Abner, Isaac W, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth Sarah. He is the second oldest of the twelve children.-
