F. Ashbury was born on February 24th, 1793 in Hawkins, Grainger, Tennessee.1 F. Ashbury's father was Benjamin McCarty and his mother was Sarah Conner. His paternal grandparents were Darby McCarty and Hannah Richardson; his maternal grandfather was James Conner and his maternal grandmother is Mary Welch. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Morgan Green, William Pleasant, Enoch, James Monroe, (Judge) Benjamin, Jonathan, Abner, Isaac W, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth Sarah. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died in Tinkerville, Indiana, USA.1 -
