James Monroe McCarty 
James Monroe was born on October 28th, 1790 in Culpepper, Ishaw, Virginia, USA.1 James Monroe's father was Benjamin McCarty and his mother was Sarah Conner. His paternal grandparents were Darby McCarty and Hannah Richardson; his maternal grandfather was James Conner and his maternal grandmother is Mary Welch. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Morgan Green, William Pleasant, Enoch, F. Ashbury, (Judge) Benjamin, Jonathan, Abner, Isaac W, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth Sarah. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 75 in 1865 in Union, Indiana, USA.1 -
