His paternal grandparents were Darby McCarty and Hannah Richardson; his maternal grandfather was James Conner and his maternal grandmother is Mary Welch. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Morgan Green, William Pleasant, James Monroe, F. Ashbury, (Judge) Benjamin, Jonathan, Abner, Isaac W, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth Sarah. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 74 on December 12th, 1857 in Brookville, Franklin, Indiana, USA.1 -
