John SIMMONS 
John was born on January 29th, 1727 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island and his baptism took place on June 29th, 1734 in Tiverton, Newport, Rhode Island. John's father was Joseph SIMMONS and his mother was Rebecca WOOD. His paternal grandparents were William Simmons and Abigail Church; his maternal grandparents were Johnathan WOOD and Elizabeth THURSTON. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Lod, Jonathan, Ephraim, Joseph, Abigail, Betty, Susanna and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 19 on July 13th, 1746.General Notes
