William Skaggs 
William was born on January 1st, 1800 in Kentucky. William's father was James ,3rd,Rev. Skaggs and his mother is Nancy Mayse. His paternal grandfather was James ,Jr. Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Mary Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, James ,4th, Matthew, Stephen, John Blackhawk, Moses Madison, Nancy, Lydia and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 58 in October 1858 in Green Co.,Kentucky. He was buried in Brass Ankle Cemetery,Green Co.,Kentucky.General Notes
