Letitia was born on August 1st, 1829 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Letitia's father was Matthew Skaggs and her mother is Mary Catherine Long. Her paternal grandfather is Jeremiah Skaggs and her paternal grandmother was Rebecca Mayse. She had three brothers and six sisters, named William M., Stephen M., Thomas, Harriet, Mary Ann, Nancy, Louisa, Susan Ann and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 58 on February 14th, 1888.General Notes
