Anna Merrill 
Anna was born in 1758 in Jersey Settlement,Rowan County,NC. Anna's father was Benjamin Merrill and her mother was Jemima Smith. Her paternal grandparents were William Merrill and Penelope Stout. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John, Andrew, William, Charles, Elijah, Jonathan, Nancy, Penelope and Ellen. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
