Margaret was born on May 25th, 1799 in Richmond Co.,North Carolina. Margaret's father was James Keahey and her mother was Mary Jane Jackson. Her paternal grandparents were William Mac Keachy and Margaret Unknown; her maternal grandfather was Samuel Jackson and her maternal grandmother is Christian Unknown. She had five brothers and a sister, named William, James ,Jr., Samuel M., John, George Burder and Eleanor. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 48 in May 1847 in Scott Co.,Mississippi.-
