Oscar was born on August 28th, 1899. Oscar's father was Jessie Simmons Daniel and his mother was Martha Mitelda Fulton. His paternal grandparents were William Simmons Daniel and Permintia Wesley Stewart. He has six brothers and four sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Eugene, Jessica Clark, Gaston, Johnnie, R. B., Clifton, Bertha, Sadie, Nanie Ruth, Icynae, Mosie and Avey. He is the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.-
