John Calhoun Allen 
John Calhoun was born in 1795 in Campbell,Kentucky. John Calhoun's father was Hiram Allen and his mother is Mary Ann Susanna Unknown. His paternal grandparents were John Benjamin Allen and Sarah Jane Sommers. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Unknown, Nesbett, James W., Sarah, Mary, Unknown and Rebecca. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 72 in 1867 in Lufkin,Angelina Co.,Texas.
John Calhoun and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in 1821 in Claiborne Parrish,Louisana. They had six sons and three daughters, named Hiram George, John Burchfield, James A., Harmon Holcombe, Thomas Price, George Washington, Mary Ann Elizabeth, Cassandra Ann and Martha.
