Mimme Velma was born on December 11th, 1893. Mimme Velma's father was George Franklin Alexander and her mother was Nancy Elizebeth Daniel. Her paternal grandfather is Jerry Alexander and her paternal grandmother was Amanda Temperance Seal; her maternal grandparents were William Simmons Daniel and Permintia Wesley Stewart. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Charles Henry, James Briley, Walter Marvin, Benjamin Franklin, Dennis Brealon, Ludie Vera and Biddie Eva. She is the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
