Sophia Simmern was born on October 13th, 1630 in Wassenaer Court, The Hague, Holland.  Sophia Simmern's father was Frederick V Henry Simmern Wittelsbach and her mother was Elizabeth Stuart.  Her maternal grandparents were James I Stuart (VI of Scotland) of England and Anne Oldenburg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Charles I Ludwig, Edward and Charlotte.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 83 on June 8th, 1714 in Schloss Herrenhausen, Hanover, Germany.  She was buried in Chapel of Schloss Herrenhausen, Hanover, Germany.


Sophia Simmern's family with Ernest Augustus Guelph Brunswick-Luneberg

‌Sophia Simmern and Ernest Augustus Guelph were married in a religious ceremony on September 30th, 1658 in Castle Chapel, Heidelberg, Germany.  They had a son and a daughter, named George I Louis Guelph Hanover of Great and Sophia Charlotte.
