Sophia Simmern was born on October 13th, 1630 in Wassenaer Court, The Hague, Holland. Sophia Simmern's father was Frederick V Henry Simmern Wittelsbach and her mother was Elizabeth Stuart. Her maternal grandparents were James I Stuart (VI of Scotland) of England and Anne Oldenburg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Charles I Ludwig, Edward and Charlotte. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 on June 8th, 1714 in Schloss Herrenhausen, Hanover, Germany.
