Rebecca J. was born on March 19th, 1877 in Greenbrier County, Virginia. Rebecca J.'s father was George Washington Shaver and her mother was Lucinda Judy. Her paternal grandparents were George E. Shaver and Isabelle Rodgers; her maternal grandparents were William Judy and Sara Walkup. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William Alexander, Daniel Washington, Samuel Ely, George Edward, Gilbert Christopher, Sarah Isabella, Mary Catherine, Margaret Elizabeth, Esta Jane and Rachel. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 76 on March 30th, 1953.-
