Margaret Elizabeth was born on December 10th, 1870 in Greenbrier County, Virginia. Margaret Elizabeth's father was George Washington Shaver and her mother was Lucinda Judy. Her paternal grandparents were George E. Shaver and Isabelle Rodgers; her maternal grandparents were William Judy and Sara Walkup. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William Alexander, Daniel Washington, Samuel Ely, George Edward, Gilbert Christopher, Sarah Isabella, Mary Catherine, Esta Jane, Rebecca J. and Rachel. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 36 on August 30th, 1907.-
