Elsie L. was born on October 17th, 1905 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Elsie L.'s father was William Harrison Knappenberger and her mother is Emma Jane Eck. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Henry Knappenberger and Leanda Hauser; her maternal grandparents were David Eck and Lovina Kline. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, William J. B., Blanche L., Ida E. L., Minnie Minerva, Anna C. and Mary Mae. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 87 on November 4th, 1992 in Leader Nursing Center, Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.-
