Gertrude Jarrett 
Gertrude was born on October 13th, 1777 in Macungie, Northampton (later Lehigh County), Pennsylvania. Gertrude's father was Isaac Jarrett and her mother was Catherina Wetzel. Her paternal grandparents were Johan Jarrett and Anna Maria; her maternal grandparents were Conrad Wetzel and Anna Catharine Bayer. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named Johannes, Daniel, Jacob, Henry, Isaac, Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna Maria, Magdalena Salome, Susanna, Margaretha, Johanna and Lydia. She was the second youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 88 on October 16th, 1865 in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. She was buried in Cedarville Cemetery, Cetronia, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.General Notes

"Family legend relates that she was involved with a son of a family on
the other side of the Fries Rebellion and a child was on the way without
wedding vows. One of Gertrude's brothers supposedly met the lover at the
door with a sword. Whether he was killed or just scared, they were never
married."
