Wiley James Gordon 
Wiley James was born on August 11th, 1876 in Vermillionville, La Salle County, Illinois. Wiley James' father was Samuel Gordon and his mother was Susan Ann McDowell. His paternal grandparents were James Gordon and Mary Bratton; his maternal grandparents were James M. McDowell and Eliza Daniels. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named George R., Leroy, Levy, John Harrison, Mary Eliza, Rosa Jane, Sarah Rebecca, Ophelia Grace, Ella Belle, Emma May and Francis Marion. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 47 on September 18th, 1923 in Utica, La Salle County, Illinois. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Utica, La Salle County, Illinois.-
