Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great was born on November 9th, 1841 in Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, London, England.  Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great's father was Albert Augustus of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and his mother was Victoria Alexandria Hanover of Great Britain.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa Wettin von Saxe-Coburg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Aldred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan Albert, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Louise Caroline Alberta, Helena Augusta Victoria and Beatrice Mary Victoria.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 68 on May 6th, 1910 in Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, London, England.  He was buried on May 20th, 1910 in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, England.

‌Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great and Alexandra Schleswig Oldenburg of were married in a religious ceremony on March 10th, 1863 in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, England.  They had four sons and two daughters, named Albert Victor Christian, George V Windsor of Great, Victoria Alexandra Olga Mary, John Alexander, Louise Victoria Alexandra and Maud Charlotte Mary Victoria.
