Louise Caroline Alberta was born on March 18th, 1848. Louise Caroline Alberta's father was Albert Augustus of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and her mother was Victoria Alexandria Hanover of Great Britain. Her maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa Wettin von Saxe-Coburg. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great, Aldred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan Albert, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria and Beatrice Mary Victoria. She is the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
