James Brinton 
James was born on October 13th, 1723. James' father was Joseph Brinton and his mother was Mary Peirce. His paternal grandparents were William Brinton and Jane Thatcher; his maternal grandparents were George II Peirce and Ann Gainer. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, John, Moses, Caleb, William, George, Ann Peirce, Jane, Mary, Jane, Hannah and Phoebe. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 87 on November 14th, 1810. He was buried in 1810 in Kennett Meeting (Society of Friends).General Notes
According to Battle of Brandywine accounts of Revolutionary War:
"BARN-BRINTON HOUSE, Route 1, Chadds Ford, PA, near Longwood 610-388-7376
Built in 1714 by blacksmith William Barns, the building was used as a
home and as a tavern during the 18th century. Purchased by James Brinton
in 1753, it remained in the Brinton family for over 100 years. Guides in
Colonial garb gives tours of 1714 brick structures restored as 18th
