James Presley Spencer 
James Presley was born on February 24th, 1881 in Noel, Missouri. James Presley's father was Samuel Grant Spencer and his mother was Martha Ann Lowery. His paternal grandparents were Aquilla Spencer and Elizabeth Records; his maternal grandparents were Cornelius Lowery and Elizabeth Garver. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Cornelius, John C., Edward Samuel, Frank, Charles Ernest, Ella L., Mary Emma, Martha "Pearl" and Maud Bertha. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 64 on May 5th, 1945 in Anderson, McDonald Co., Missouri.-
