Richard I "Cour de Leon" was born on September 13th, 1157.  Richard I "Cour de Leon"'s father was Henry II Plantagenet King of England and his mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V Plantagenet and Matilda Princess of England; his maternal grandparents were William X duke of Aquitaine and Aenor. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry, Geoffrey, Phillip, John "Lackland", Matilda, Eleanor and Joanna. He had four half-brothers named Peter, Morgan, Geoffrey Plantagenet and William.  He died at the age of 41 on April 6th, 1199.
