Matilda was born in 1102 in London, Middlesex, England.  Matilda's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and her mother was Matilda Of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were William King Of England and Matilda Countess Of Flanders Queen Of England. She had three brothers and a sister, named Son, Richard, William "Atheling" and Elizabeth. She had seven half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Fulk, Henry Fitzroy, William, Reginald, Robert, Maud, William, Juliane, Gundred Rohesia, Sibyl Elizabeth, Maud, Miss, Constance Maud, Alice Aline, Isabel Hedwig and Emma.  She died at the age of 67 on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame, Rouen, France.
