Robert Jesse was born on September 26th, 1889 in Broken bow, Custer Co., NE. Robert Jesse's father was George William Coen and his mother was Lucinda Lee Kelly. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Morris Coen and Millicent Bailey. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Alvin Jonathan, Roy Marvin, Albert, Lena May, Bertha Dorothy and Mary Minnie. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 75 on July 24th, 1965 in Fredricksburg, IA. He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene, Butler Co., IA.-
