John Calvin Anders 
John Calvin was born on September 18th, 1872 in Galax, Grayson Co., Virginia. John Calvin's father was Osborn Anders and his mother was Rachel Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Anders and Sarah Richardson; his maternal grandparents are John Taylor and Lucinda Ham. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James Emmett, Rush Floyd, David, Henry Mack, Elbert Sevier, Alice and Sally. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on July 4th, 1956 in Galax, Grayson Co., Virginia.-
