Andy was born in 1910. Andy's father was John Calvin Anders and his mother was Nancy A. Pharis. His paternal grandparents were Osborn Anders and Rachel Taylor. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Walter, Carlie, Roy Isaac, Elbert L., Merty and Lucy. He has a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John Rice, Ethel and Hallie.-
