Virginia "Jenny" was born on January 2nd, 1756 in Of, Orange, North Carolina. Virginia "Jenny"'s father was Samuel DALTON and her mother was Ann Dandridge "Nancy" REDD. Her paternal grandfather was William DALTON and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth (DALTON); her maternal grandfather is George REDD and her maternal grandmother was Anne DANDRIDGE. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, David, Robert, William, John, Letitia (Letty), Rachael, Mary, Jane, Ann "Nancey", Rachel and Sarah Matilda.
