Sarah Matilda DALTON 
Sarah Matilda was born on March 12th, 1754 in Goochland, Albermarle Co., Va. Sarah Matilda's father was Samuel DALTON and her mother was Ann Dandridge "Nancy" REDD. Her paternal grandfather was William DALTON and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth (DALTON); her maternal grandfather is George REDD and her maternal grandmother was Anne DANDRIDGE. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, David, Robert, William, John, Letitia (Letty), Rachael, Mary, Jane, Ann "Nancey", Rachel and Virginia "Jenny". She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 87 on September 17th, 1841 in Mt. Carmel, , Tn. She was buried on July 22nd, 1842 in Mt. Carmel, Hawkins, Tennessee.General Notes
