John Morton 
John was born about 1750. John's father was Elijah Morton and his mother was Elizabeth Hawkins. His paternal grandparents were William Morton and Ann Mothershead. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Joseph, William R., Frankie Terrill, Sallie and Betsy. He was the third oldest of the seven children.-
