Daniel Whitney 
Daniel was born on April 4th, 1720 in Ridgefield,CT. Daniel's father was Henry Whitney and his mother was Elizabeth Olmstead. His paternal grandparents were *John Whitney and *Elizabeth Smith; his maternal grandparents were John Olmstead and Elizabeth Pardie. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry, John, Richard, James, Elizabeth, Jerusha and Betty. He was the third youngest of the eight children.-
