Mary Katheryn was born on October 10th, 1927 in Wayne Co,Illinois. Mary Katheryn's father was Thomas Jefferson Walter (Walters) and her mother was Maude May Nesler. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Walter and Drusilla Duvall; her maternal grandparents were Robert Fulton Nesler and Sarah Canzidia Simpson. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert Lacey, Jesse Alonzo, George Allen, Dollie Maybell, Edna Pearl, Daisy Caroleen, Lillian Juanita, Nora Evelyn, Bertha Maxine and Anna Lorene. She was the youngest of the eleven children.-
