Dollie Maybell was born on December 13th, 1902 in Golden Gate,Wayne Co,Illinois. Dollie Maybell's father was Thomas Jefferson Walter (Walters) and her mother was Maude May Nesler. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Walter and Drusilla Duvall; her maternal grandparents were Robert Fulton Nesler and Sarah Canzidia Simpson. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert Lacey, Jesse Alonzo, George Allen, Edna Pearl, Daisy Caroleen, Lillian Juanita, Nora Evelyn, Bertha Maxine, Anna Lorene and Mary Katheryn. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.-
