George Allen was born on April 13th, 1907 in Golden Gate,Wayne Co,Illinois. George Allen's father was Thomas Jefferson Walter (Walters) and his mother was Maude May Nesler. His paternal grandparents were Edward Walter and Drusilla Duvall; his maternal grandparents were Robert Fulton Nesler and Sarah Canzidia Simpson. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Robert Lacey, Jesse Alonzo, Dollie Maybell, Edna Pearl, Daisy Caroleen, Lillian Juanita, Nora Evelyn, Bertha Maxine, Anna Lorene and Mary Katheryn. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.-
