Lydia was born on June 21st, 1752 in Middleboro,Plymouth,Massachusetts. Lydia's father was John Thompson and her mother was Lydia Wood. Her maternal grandparents were Elnathan Wood and Mary Billington. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Shubeal, Isaac, John, Ezra, Lydia, Uzza, Susanna, Sarah, Uzza, Fear and Priscilla.
